Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 cups apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, beat together softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Gradually mix in flour, cinnamon, and salt to form the crust.
  3. Press the crust mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish and bake for 15 minutes.
  4. Toss sliced apples with sugar, flour, and cinnamon in another bowl.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon for the streusel topping; cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  6. After cooling the crust slightly, layer the apple filling on top followed by streusel topping.
  7. Bake for an additional 45 minutes until golden brown. Cool completely before slicing.
