  • 2/3 cup mashed bananas
  • 5 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 10 tbsp unsalted butter (cubed)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 sliced bananas
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Warm milk to about 110℉ and combine with yeast; let sit until bubbly.
  2. In another bowl, mix mashed bananas, egg, salt, sugar, and butter; add yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually stir in flour until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Place dough in greased bowl; cover and let rise until doubled (about an hour).
  5. Prepare filling by mixing brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll out dough into a rectangle.
  6. Spread softened butter over dough; sprinkle with filling and arrange banana slices.
  7. Roll tightly into a log; slice into equal pieces and place in greased baking dish.
  8. Let rolls rise again for half an hour while preheating oven to 350℉.
  9. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Prepare icing by mixing cream cheese and butter; add powdered sugar and vanilla.
  11. Ice warm rolls before serving.
