  • 1/2 cup Dutch Process Baking Cocoa
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 2 tbsp Milk (1%, 2%, or Fat-free)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 10 oz bag of Hershey Caramel Kisses
  • Sea Salt Flakes (optional)
  • Salted Caramel Sugar (optional)
  • Dark Cocoa Sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and prepare baking sheets.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, cocoa, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy.
  4. Mix in the egg, milk, and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture until blended.
  6. Chill dough for at least an hour before shaping into balls.
  7. Roll each ball in sugar and place on prepared sheets.
  8. Bake for 6-8 minutes; add a caramel kiss on top and bake for an additional 2 minutes.
  9. Let cool on wire racks.
