  • 2 medium boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • ¾ cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Zest and juice from one lemon
  • 1½ teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Sear for 6-8 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Rest for 3-4 minutes before slicing.
  3. In the same skillet, add chicken broth, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, lemon zest/juice, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir to combine and bring to a boil; then reduce heat to thicken.
  4. Add cooked pasta and sliced chicken to the sauce; toss gently to coat well.
