  4. Coat the pecan halves in the frothy egg white mixture, then transfer them to the sugar mixture and toss until evenly coated.
  5. Spread the coated pecans on the baking sheet in a single layer and bake for about 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
  6. Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
