A quick, savory side dish featuring tender mushrooms and caramelized onions sautéed in rich garlic butter. Perfect for steaks, chicken, pasta, or as a comforting vegetarian bite.
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
3 cups sliced mushrooms
1 medium onion, sliced
3–4 garlic cloves, minced
Salt & black pepper
Fresh parsley (optional)
Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add onions and cook until soft and lightly golden.
Stir in mushrooms and sauté until browned and tender.
Add garlic, salt, and pepper; cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Avoid overcrowding the pan to help the mushrooms brown.
Add a splash of soy sauce or balsamic vinegar for extra depth.
