  • ¾ teaspoon each of dried basil, oregano, parsley, and mustard powder
  • ¼ teaspoon each of dried thyme, onion powder, and pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • 2 ¾ cups chicken broth
  • ¾ cup half and half
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • ½ chicken bouillon cube
  • ¾ cup Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • ½ lb. Shellbow pasta

Instructions

  1. In a soup pot over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter. Add minced garlic and the measured herbs; stir until fragrant.
  2. Pour in chicken broth, half and half, soy sauce, and bouillon cube; mix well and bring to a boil.
  3. Add Shellbow pasta; cook according to package instructions until al dente, stirring occasionally.
  4. Reduce heat to low; stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted. Add lemon juice and the remaining tablespoon of butter; mix well before serving.
