  • 1 lb chicken breast (thinly sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber (grated and drained)
  • 4 pita bread rounds
  • Fresh tomatoes, red onions, cucumber, feta cheese, parsley for assembly

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade by whisking olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Coat the chicken slices and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Make the tzatziki sauce by mixing Greek yogurt, grated cucumber (drained), garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, dill or mint, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
  3. Cook marinated chicken in a preheated grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat until golden brown (about 6-8 minutes).
  4. Warm pita bread slightly and assemble your gyros with cooked chicken, fresh veggies, feta cheese, parsley, and tzatziki sauce.
