  • 12 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 large Onion (diced)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 (15-ounce can) Diced Tomatoes (don’t drain)
  • 1 (15-ounce can) Tomato Sauce
  • 1/3 cup Tomato Paste
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth
  • 12 cups Water
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • Black Pepper (to taste)
  • 8 ounces Bowtie Pasta (uncooked)
  • 1/2 cup Ricotta Cheese
  • 2 ounces Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese (shredded)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté diced onion until soft.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and adjust with water for desired thickness. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in uncooked bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  6. Serve hot, topped with ricotta cheese, mozzarella, parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley.
