  • 15 oz ricotta cheese (whole milk)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (whole milk)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the ziti in salted boiling water until al dente (8-10 minutes), then drain.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey. Drain excess fat, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning; simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan until creamy.
  5. Layer half of the cooked ziti in a greased baking dish, followed by half of the meat sauce and dollops of the cheese mixture. Repeat layers.
