  • 1 package (17.3 oz) frozen puff pastry (2 sheets), thawed
  • 46 tablespoons Nutella Hazelnut Spread
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sprinkle flour on parchment paper and roll out one sheet of puff pastry into an 11 x 13 inch rectangle.
  3. Spread Nutella evenly on the pastry, leaving edges clear.
  4. Roll out the second sheet of pastry and place it over the Nutella layer; press gently to seal.
  5. Cut out a Christmas tree shape from the layered pastry.
  6. Make horizontal cuts along both sides of the tree without cutting all the way through.
  7. Twist each branch away from you carefully.
  8. Using leftover pastry, cut out shapes for decorations as desired.
  9. Brush exposed surfaces with beaten egg.
  10. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown; dust with powdered sugar before serving.
