  • 1 lb frozen vegan gyoza dumplings
  • 1 lb heirloom tomatoes (mixed colors)
  • 1 English cucumber
  • 5 scallions
  • 1 red chili pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 cup basil leaves
  • 3 Tbsp Tamari (low sodium)
  • 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 23 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds (or crispy fried onions)
  • Garlic chili sauce

Instructions

  1. Steam the frozen gyoza dumplings according to package instructions. Toss with sesame oil or water after steaming.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together Tamari, balsamic vinegar, and maple syrup. Pour over warm dumplings and toss gently.
  3. Cut heirloom tomatoes into wedges, slice cucumber and scallions; add these to the dumpling bowl along with optional chili.
  4. Tear basil leaves over the salad mixture. Top with toasted sesame seeds or crispy onions.
  5. Serve at room temperature and enjoy! Add garlic chili sauce for extra flavor.
