Ingredients
Scale
2 cans (6 oz each) salmon, drained and flaked (or 12 oz cooked fresh salmon)
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 large egg, beaten
¼ cup finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (plus additional for sauce)
2 tablespoons olive oil for frying
½ cup plain Greek yogurt (or mayonnaise for sauce)
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 garlic clove, minced
½ teaspoon honey (optional)
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, chopped onion, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, paprika, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and lemon juice. Mix well.
Form the mixture into small patties (about 2–3 inches in diameter), making approximately eight patties. Let them rest on a plate for about five to ten minutes.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about three to four minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
For the creamy sauce, whisk together Greek yogurt (or mayonnaise), lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, honey (optional), Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
Serve the salmon patties drizzled with the creamy sauce or on the side for dipping.
