  • 1 medium cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1/3 cup rice flour
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder, optional
  • 1/31/4 cup water
  • 1.5 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice apple vinegar
  • 12 tbsp Sriracha sauce, adjust to taste
  • 1" fresh ginger, finely minced
  • 45 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
  • 23 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Sesame seeds for topping
  • Spring onions, sliced
  • Sliced chilies for a kick

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix rice flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, and water until smooth.
  3. Coat each cauliflower floret in the batter and place on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. While baking, prepare the sauce by combining sesame oil, soy sauce, vinegar, Sriracha, minced ginger, garlic, honey/maple syrup, cornstarch, and water in a saucepan over medium heat until thickened.
  6. Toss baked cauliflower in the sauce until evenly coated. Serve hot with garnishes like sesame seeds and sliced spring onions.
