  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 cups white grape juice
  • 2 cups chilled sparkling water

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine strawberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil while stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
  2. Strain the mixture through a mesh sieve into a bowl to remove solids, yielding about 3 cups of strawberry syrup.
  3. In a pitcher, mix the strawberry syrup with white grape juice. Chill in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
  4. Just before serving, gently stir in sparkling water and garnish with sliced strawberries.
