  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 large Egg (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 3/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  1. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, sift the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  3. Gently fold in the chocolate chips. Chill the dough in the fridge for 1-2 hours.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden around the edges but soft in the center. Let cool on sheets before transferring to a cooling rack.
