Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup apples peeled and diced

Method
 

Prepare the Oven and Pan
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
Combine Wet Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Combine Mixtures
  1. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
Bake
  1. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve
  1. Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and serve.
