Method
Prepare the Oven and Pan
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
Combine Wet Ingredients
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Combine Mixtures
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
Bake
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve
- Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and serve.
