Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup milk warm
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
Filling
  • 2 cups apples peeled and diced
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
Topping
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and melted butter to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
Make the Filling
  1. In a separate bowl, mix diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Set aside.
Assemble the Rolls
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  2. Spread the apple filling evenly over the dough. Roll the dough tightly into a log.
  3. Cut the log into 8 equal pieces and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Let the rolls rise for another 20 minutes.
Bake the Rolls
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
Prepare the Topping
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
