Prepare Bacon Jam
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.
- Add the cooked bacon back to the skillet, along with brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, black pepper, and salt.
- Simmer on low heat for about 15-20 minutes until thickened. Set aside.
Prepare Sliders
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 12 small patties.
- Heat olive oil in a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, adding cheese slices during the last minute to melt.
- Assemble the sliders by placing a patty on each slider bun, topping with bacon jam, and closing with the bun top.
