Method
Prepare the Oven and Pan
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan with cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
Mix Wet Ingredients
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg, buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Combine Mixtures
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the blueberries.
Bake the Donuts
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve
- Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally dusted with powdered sugar.
