Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk can substitute with milk and vinegar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Blueberries
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries can use frozen if necessary

Method
 

Prepare the Oven and Pan
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
Mix Wet Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, whisk together the egg, buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Combine Mixtures
  1. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  2. Gently fold in the blueberries.
Bake the Donuts
  1. Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve
  1. Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  2. Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally dusted with powdered sugar.
