- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

- In another bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture, mixing until smooth.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Fold in pecans and corn syrup.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
