Ingredients
  

Cheese Base
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup beer lager or pale ale
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Prepare the Cheese Mixture
  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the cream cheese and beer, whisking until smooth.
  2. Gradually add the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring continuously until melted and creamy.
  3. Stir in the Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper until well combined.
Serve
  1. Remove from heat and transfer the beer cheese dip to a serving bowl.
  2. Serve warm with pretzels for dipping.
