Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 3 medium ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter unsalted
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar granulated
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
Optional Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup walnuts chopped
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

Prepare the Oven and Pan
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Mix Wet Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
  2. Mix in the beaten egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
Combine Dry Ingredients
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, baking soda, salt, and flour.
Combine Mixtures
  1. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
  2. Fold in any optional add-ins like walnuts or chocolate chips.
Bake the Bread
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve
  1. Remove the banana bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  2. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
