Prepare the Ingredients
- Trim excess fat from the chuck roast and season it with salt, pepper, garlic powder, thyme, and rosemary.
- Peel and chop the carrots, potatoes, and onion.
Layer the Ingredients in the Crock Pot
- Place the chopped vegetables at the bottom of the crock pot.
- Place the seasoned roast on top of the vegetables.
- Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the roast.
Cook the Pot Roast
- Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours, until the meat is tender.
Serve
- Remove the roast and vegetables from the crock pot and let the roast rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve with the vegetables and some of the cooking liquid.
