Ingredients
  

Tea Base
  • 4 cups Water Filtered water for brewing tea
  • 4 bags Black Tea Bags Or green tea bags for a lighter flavor
Blueberry Mixture
  • 1 cup Fresh Blueberries Can substitute with frozen blueberries
  • 1/4 cup Sugar Adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed for best flavor
Serving
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes For serving
  • Mint Leaves Fresh Mint For garnish, optional

Method
 

Brew the Tea
  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a teapot.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags.
  3. Let steep for 5 minutes, then remove the tea bags.
Prepare the Blueberry Mixture
  1. In a bowl, combine fresh blueberries, sugar, and lemon juice.
  2. Mash the blueberries slightly to release their juices.
  3. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Combine and Chill
  1. In a pitcher, combine the brewed tea and blueberry mixture.
  2. Stir well and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill.
Serve
  1. Fill glasses with ice cubes.
  2. Pour the chilled blueberry iced tea over the ice.
  3. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes
