Ingredients
  

Lemon Slices
  • 2 whole lemons Thinly sliced
Sugar Syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar For syrup
  • 1 cup water For syrup

Method
 

Prepare Lemons
  1. Wash the lemons thoroughly and slice them into thin rounds.
  2. Remove any seeds from the lemon slices.
Make Sugar Syrup
  1. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water over medium heat.
  2. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
Candy the Lemon Slices
  1. Add the lemon slices to the simmering sugar syrup.
  2. Simmer for about 45-60 minutes, until the lemon slices become translucent.
  3. Use a slotted spoon to remove the slices and place them on a cooling rack.
Dry and Store
  1. Let the lemon slices cool completely on the rack.
  2. Once cooled, they can be stored in an airtight container.
