Ingredients
  

Churro French Toast
  • 4 slices thick bread such as brioche or challah
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk whole or 2%
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter for frying
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips for sauce
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream for sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar for coating

Method
 

Prepare the Egg Mixture
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined.
  2. Set aside to let the mixture thicken slightly.
Cook the French Toast
  1. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and melt butter.
  2. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
  3. Place the coated bread in the frying pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  4. Remove from pan and immediately coat in cinnamon sugar.
Make the Chocolate Sauce
  1. In a small saucepan, combine chocolate chips and heavy cream over low heat.
  2. Stir until the chocolate is melted and the sauce is smooth.
Serve
  1. Serve the churro French toast warm, drizzled with chocolate sauce.
  2. Enjoy with fresh fruit or whipped cream if desired.
