  • 1 lb turkey sausage sliced
  • 16 oz frozen pierogi cheese or potato filling
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth low sodium
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped for garnish

Method
 

Cook the Sausage
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced turkey sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  2. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
Cook the Pierogi
  1. In the same skillet, add the frozen pierogi and cook according to package instructions, usually about 5-7 minutes until heated through.
Combine Ingredients
  1. Return the cooked sausage to the skillet with the pierogi. Add the chicken broth, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Stir gently to combine and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Add Peas and Serve
  1. Stir in the frozen peas and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  2. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
