Ingredients
  

Taco Filling
  • 1 lb ground turkey lean
  • 1 tsp olive oil for cooking
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup water for moisture
  • 8 small corn tortillas for baking
Avocado Sauce
  • 1 large ripe avocado
  • 1 tbsp lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp water to thin sauce if needed
Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
  • 1/4 cup sour cream optional

Method
 

Prepare the Taco Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and water. Simmer for 5 minutes until flavors meld.
Bake the Tacos
  1. Place corn tortillas on a baking sheet. Fill each tortilla with the turkey mixture.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until tortillas are crispy.
Make the Avocado Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, mash the avocado. Stir in lime juice, minced garlic, and salt.
  2. Add water as needed to achieve desired consistency.
Assemble and Serve
  1. Remove tacos from the oven and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheese, and avocado sauce.
  2. Serve with sour cream if desired.

Notes
