Ingredients
  

Crust
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dried figs chopped
  • 1/4 cup milk

Method
 

Prepare the Crust
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine flour, softened butter, sugar, and salt. Mix until crumbly.
  2. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x9 inch baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
Make the Filling
  1. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  2. Stir in the chopped figs and milk until evenly distributed.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Pour the cream cheese filling over the baked crust, spreading it evenly.
  2. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the filling is set.
  3. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
