Method
Prepare the Crust
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine flour, softened butter, sugar, and salt. Mix until crumbly.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x9 inch baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
Make the Filling
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Stir in the chopped figs and milk until evenly distributed.
Assemble and Bake
- Pour the cream cheese filling over the baked crust, spreading it evenly.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the filling is set.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
