  • 1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg optional
Ricotta Filling
  • 1/2 cup whole milk ricotta plus more for serving
  • 1 Tbsp blueberry jam plus more for serving
  • 1/4 cup fresh blueberries plus more for serving
  • 1/2 medium lemon zest plus more for serving
Bread
  • 2 slices sourdough bread cut 1" thick
For Serving
  • Powdered sugar for serving, optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix ricotta, blueberry jam, blueberries, and lemon zest.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, salt, and nutmeg.
Cooking

  2. Dip the sandwich in the egg mixture, coating both sides.
  3. Cook in a heated pan until golden brown on both sides.
