Ingredients
  

Meatball Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 lean to fat ratio
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs preferably Italian seasoned
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp parsley fresh, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Sauce Ingredients
  • 2 cups marinara sauce store-bought or homemade

Method
 

Prepare the Meatballs
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, parsley, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Mix the ingredients until well combined, but do not overmix.
  4. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
Bake the Meatballs
  1. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.
Prepare the Sauce
  1. While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Once the meatballs are done, add them to the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
Serve
  1. Serve the meatballs hot, garnished with additional parsley and Parmesan if desired.
