Ingredients
  

Protein and Vegetables
  • 1 lb ground pork or ground chicken
  • 4 cups shredded cabbage green or coleslaw mix
  • 1 cup shredded carrots optional for color
  • 3 green onions sliced for garnish
Sauce
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos for gluten-free
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil for flavor
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp ginger freshly grated
  • 2 cloves garlic minced

Method
 

Cook the Pork
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground pork and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Add Vegetables
  1. Add the shredded cabbage and carrots to the skillet with the pork.
  2. Stir well and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the cabbage is tender.
Make the Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, ginger, and garlic.
  2. Pour the sauce over the pork and vegetable mixture, stirring to combine.
Serve
  1. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  2. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.
