Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup jam your choice of flavor

Method
 

  1. Cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  4. Shape the dough into small balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Make an indentation in the center of each ball using your thumb or a small heart-shaped tool.
  6. Fill each indentation with your choice of jam.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 12 minutes or until lightly golden.
