  • 1.5 lbs ground turkey
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
Teriyaki Sauce Ingredients
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar or honey
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with water mix with 2 tbsp water
Garnish
  • sesame seeds for garnish
  • green onions for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper in a bowl.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs of even size.
  3. Place the meatballs into the slow cooker.
Cooking
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients and pour over the meatballs.
  2. Cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours until meatballs are cooked through.
  3. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce is thickened.
  4. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
