Method
Prepare the Chicken Mixture
- In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken and marinara sauce. Mix well.
- Stir in the mozzarella and parmesan cheese until evenly distributed.
Assemble the Sandwiches
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of four slices, spoon a generous amount of the chicken mixture.
- Top with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
Cook the Sandwiches
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the skillet, cooking until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Once both sides are golden and the cheese is melted, remove from the skillet and let cool slightly.
Serve
- Cut the sandwiches in half and serve warm with extra marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
