Cook Spaghetti
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare Meat Sauce
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
Mix Cheese Mixture
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, and egg. Mix until well combined.
Assemble the Dish
- In a baking dish, layer half of the cooked spaghetti, followed by half of the meat sauce, and half of the cheese mixture. Repeat the layers.
- Top with remaining shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
