Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats old-fashioned
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet

Method
 

Prepare the Oven and Pan
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
Mix Wet Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Combine Mixtures
  1. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Bake the Bars
  1. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool and Serve
  1. Allow the bars to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.
