Method
Prepare the Oven and Pan
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
Mix Wet Ingredients
- In another bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Combine Mixtures
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Bake the Bars
- Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool and Serve
- Allow the bars to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.
