Method
 

  1. Let the steaks sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the skillet over medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Add oil.
  3. Sear steaks for 4-5 minutes without moving. Flip and sear for another 4-5 minutes.
  4. Add butter, garlic, and herbs to the skillet. Baste steaks with melted butter.
  5. Check doneness with a meat thermometer (130°F for medium-rare). Rest for 5 minutes.
  6. Slice against the grain and serve with garlic butter drizzled on top.
