Method
Prepare the Cookie Dough
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and baking soda. Mix until smooth.
Bake the Cookies
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Flatten each ball slightly with a fork to create a crisscross pattern.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden.
- Remove from oven and let cool on a cooling rack.
Decorate the Cookies
- Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
- Dip the bottom of each chocolate candy into the melted chocolate and place it in the center of each cookie.
- Insert pretzel sticks into the sides of the chocolate candy to create spider legs.
- Drizzle any remaining melted chocolate over the cookies for added decoration.
