Ingredients
  

Cookie Base
  • 1 cup peanut butter creamy or crunchy
  • 1 cup sugar granulated
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
Decorations
  • 12 pieces chocolate candies for spider bodies
  • 24 pieces pretzel sticks for spider legs
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips for melting and drizzling

Method
 

Prepare the Cookie Dough
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and baking soda. Mix until smooth.
Bake the Cookies
  1. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Flatten each ball slightly with a fork to create a crisscross pattern.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden.
  4. Remove from oven and let cool on a cooling rack.
Decorate the Cookies
  1. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  2. Dip the bottom of each chocolate candy into the melted chocolate and place it in the center of each cookie.
  3. Insert pretzel sticks into the sides of the chocolate candy to create spider legs.
  4. Drizzle any remaining melted chocolate over the cookies for added decoration.
