Method
Prepare the Oven and Pan
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Mix Wet Ingredients
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Combine Dry Ingredients
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and cloves.
Combine Mixtures
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
Bake the Bread
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
