Prepare the Bread
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Prepare the Maple Glaze
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk until smooth.
- Adjust the consistency with more milk if necessary.
- Once the bread is completely cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top.
