  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tablespoon green onions chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  3. Cover the dish with plastic wrap or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Cook the Salmon
  1. Preheat the grill or oven to the desired temperature.
  2. Remove the salmon from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  3. Cook the salmon on the grill or in the oven until it flakes easily with a fork, about 6-8 minutes per side, depending on thickness.
  4. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes
