Prepare the Chicken
- In a mixing bowl, combine hot honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
- Add the chicken thighs to the slow cooker and pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring it's well coated.
Cook the Chicken
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.
Shred and Serve
- Once cooked, use tongs to remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.
- Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to coat in the sauce.
- Serve the hot honey chicken on soft buns, topped with coleslaw and pickles if desired.
