Meatballs
  • 1.5 lbs ground turkey
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
Teriyaki Sauce
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar or honey
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with water mix with 2 tbsp water
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions for garnish

Method
 

Cooking Process
  1. Mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper in a bowl.
  2. Form mixture into meatballs.
  3. Place meatballs in the slow cooker.
  4. Whisk together the teriyaki sauce ingredients and pour over meatballs.
  5. Cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours.
  6. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
