Method
Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta in a colander.
Prepare the Sauce
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Combine and Serve
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to combine with the sauce. If the pasta seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Stir in the fresh basil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve topped with grated parmesan cheese.
