Method
Prepare the crust
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, flour, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
Make the filling
- In a separate bowl, whisk together sugar and flour. Add eggs, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Mix until smooth.
Bake the lemon bars
- Pour the filling over the baked crust. Bake for an additional 20 minutes until set.
- Remove from oven and let cool completely before cutting into squares.
