Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup Reese's peanut butter chips

Method
 

Prepare the Oven and Baking Sheet
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
Cream Butter and Sugars
  1. In another bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Combine Wet Ingredients
  1. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
Combine Mixtures
  1. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Add Peanut Butter Chips
  1. Fold in the Reese's peanut butter chips until evenly distributed.
Scoop and Bake
  1. Using a cookie scoop, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set.
Cool and Serve
  1. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
