Ingredients
  

Meatball Mixture
  • 1 lb ground beef or lamb
  • 1 cup bread crumbs preferably whole wheat
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/4 cup onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon optional
Tzatziki Sauce
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 small cucumber grated and drained
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Method
 

Prepare Meatballs
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, parsley, onion, garlic, egg, oregano, salt, pepper, and cinnamon. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.
Bake Meatballs
  1. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and browned.
Make Tzatziki Sauce
  1. In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, olive oil, dill, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Serve
  1. Serve the meatballs warm with tzatziki sauce on the side.
