Ingredients

Brownie Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Mummy Decoration
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips melted
  • 1 cup candy eyes for decoration

Method

Prepare the Brownie Base
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
Decorate the Brownies
  1. Once cooled, cut the brownies into rectangles to form the mummies.
  2. Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Transfer the melted chocolate to a piping bag and drizzle over the brownies in a crisscross pattern to resemble mummy wraps.
  4. Place two candy eyes on each brownie to complete the mummy look.
  5. Let the chocolate set before serving.
